AAHGS Genealogy Workshop: Designing Your Own Family History Book

It felt like a full circle moment traveling back to Richmond, Virginia on Saturday to present a workshop at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. Thank you to the Greater Richmond Chapter of AAHGS for inviting me to present a genealogy workshop that focused on how you can create your own family history book. During the workshop I was able to highlight some tips for researching genealogical records, locating family photographs, and building family legacies.

Finding photos can be one of the most difficult parts of genealogical research but throughout my personal journey I have reconnected with relatives from my hometown of Detroit, Michigan and discovered new relatives throughout their entire state of California. Thank you to my relatives who have been helping me to document our family’s rich history. Special thanks to my cousins Laurel, Nina, Kenta, Patricia, Larry, and Armani for their willingness to help and dedication to preserving our family’s history.

I encourage everyone who wants to learn more about their family to start today. Family reunions are right around the corner and there is no better time than NOW to learn about your family history. If you have any genealogy questions, please feel free to send a message by clicking here.

Thank you to everyone who attended the workshop in-person and online via Zoom!
